Privacy Policy for Muslim360

Your privacy matters to us. This page explains what Muslim360 may access on your device, how that information is used, and the choices you have while using the app on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and other supported Apple devices.

Effective Date March 18, 2026
Last Updated October 18, 2026

Muslim360 ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, what is sent to our servers and why, and the choices you have.

By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Muslim360 has no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no accounts for ordinary users. Prayer times and Qibla are calculated on your device. A few optional features, described below, send limited information to our servers so that they can work.

1 Information on Your Device

Most of what Muslim360 does happens on your device and is not sent to us:

  • Prayer times and Qibla: calculated on your device from your location or a location you enter.
  • Settings and reminders: your calculation method, alert choices and other preferences are stored on your device.
  • Prayer alerts: adhan and iqamah alerts are scheduled on your device and do not pass through our servers.
  • Prayer tracking: the prayers you mark are stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud account so they stay in step across your Apple devices. We cannot see them.
  • Quran listening: your reading position, playlists and favourites are stored on your device.

2 Information Sent to Our Servers

Some features need a server to work. When you use them, the app sends the following:

  • Live Activity prayer countdowns: if you turn on Live Activities, the app sends a random identifier it creates for your installation, a Live Activity push token, your city name, your location coordinates, your time zone, your calculation settings and the upcoming prayer and iqamah times, so our server can start and update the countdown on your Lock Screen at the right moments.
  • Iqamah times: when the app requests a mosque's iqamah times, it sends the mosque's identifier and an Apple App Attest token that proves the request comes from a genuine copy of the app. This does not identify you.
  • Mosque search: the text you type and, for nearby results, your approximate location are used to find mosques. They may be sent to Apple Maps and to public web search services to locate a mosque's public details.
  • Time zone lookup: your coordinates may be sent to a time zone service to find the correct time zone for your prayer times.

The installation identifier is random, is not your name, email address or Apple Account, and is reset if you delete and reinstall the app.

3 Subscriptions

Muslim360 Premium is an optional auto-renewable subscription. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. We never receive your name, card number or other payment details. The app keeps a record on your device of whether a subscription is active, in order to unlock premium features.

4 How We Use Information

We use information only to provide the app's features, including to:

  • calculate and display prayer times, iqamah times and Qibla direction,
  • show mosques and their pages when you look for them,
  • deliver the notifications and Live Activities you have turned on, and
  • keep the service working and protect it from misuse.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build profiles of you.

5 Advertising, Analytics and Tracking

Muslim360 contains no advertising and no advertising SDKs. It does not use third-party analytics or crash reporting SDKs, and it does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

6 Data Sharing and Service Providers

We do not sell your personal information.

We rely on the following providers to run the features described above. They process information on our behalf or as part of delivering their own service:

  • Apple: notifications, Live Activities, iCloud, Maps, App Attest and subscription purchases.
  • Supabase: the database for mosque pages and Live Activity scheduling.
  • Cloudflare: the service that delivers iqamah times and Live Activity updates.
  • Google Firebase: storage of mosque information.
  • Cloudinary: hosting for mosque photos shown in the app.
  • Quran content providers (such as alquran.cloud and islamic.network): Quran text, translations and recitation audio that the app downloads.
  • Open-Meteo: time zone lookup.

As with any internet service, these providers receive your IP address and the technical details of each request. We may also disclose information when necessary to comply with the law or to protect the safety, security and integrity of the app and its users.

7 Data Retention and Deletion

Information on your device stays there until you delete it or remove the app. Records on our servers that are tied to your installation identifier are kept while you use the related feature. Turning off Live Activities tells our server to stop using the corresponding record.

You can ask us to delete the server records associated with your installation by emailing us at the address below.

8 Your Choices

You control what the app can use:

  • turn off location access in your device settings and choose a location manually instead,
  • turn off notifications in your device settings, or individual alerts in the app,
  • turn off Live Activities in the app, which stops your location being sent for them, and
  • manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings.

9 Children's Privacy

Muslim360 is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent where required by law. If you believe that information has been provided inappropriately, please contact us so we can review the concern.

10 Security

We use reasonable measures to help protect information processed by the app, including encrypted connections to our servers. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11 International Users

Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you use the app outside the country where it is operated, information may be handled in accordance with the laws of those jurisdictions.

12 Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page.
